Through multi-methods research approaches, the SSRC team of senior scholars, junior scholars, and research assistants work on studying the European Union, its relationship to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union, the composition and substantive content of governments through time, migration to, from, through, and within Bosnia and Herzegovina, policy-making at all levels of government and the actors engaged in the policy-making process, public spending through time, regional integration and regional organizations, university cooperation and universities' role in societies, and the role of youth in socio-economic and socio-political processes
SSRC is currently the beneficiary of funding from the European Union through its Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance, the European Union through commercial activities, the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of Canton Sarajevo, and the Federal Ministry of Education and Science of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as International Burch University. The Swiss Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the International Organization for Migration's Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe's Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina have all supported the Social Sciences Research Center's work previously.
